Brexit and Daniel 2 [March 2017]

The recent vote in the United Kingdom to leave the European Union (Brexit) is a fulfilment of the prophecy of Daniel 2:43 that the iron and clay feet (representing the nations of Europe would not remain united.

And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. (Daniel 2:43)

Therefore since the collapse of the Roman Empire no one has been able make Europe a single empire again, it remains separate nations until the return of Jesus (represented as the stone that smashes the image and fills the whole earth), when he sets up his eternal kingdom. Please see my book, "Exploring the Heavenly Sanctuary" for more information about the prophecy of Daniel 2.

This is a reminder that all earthly kingdoms will come to an end. Its easy to become focused on material wealth as a sign of success in this life, yet at the return of Christ money will be worthless. In the new Jerusalem the streets will be made of gold! And for those who are lost, no amount of money could ever save them.

The only way to be saved is through Jesus and his blood shed on the cross. God loved us so much that he gave His only begotten Son for our salvation. Therefore we need not worry, because he will also take care of our material needs in accordance with His will.

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:32)

In the Lord's prayer we are encouraged to pray for our daily bread, we may not be given riches but we can have the riches of the kingdom and our daily bread. The Lord's prayer also says, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This looks forward to the return of Christ and the setting up of his eternal kingdom where there will be no more suffering or death. Also the animals will not die there or suffer any more. In that placed those who have been saved by the blood of Jesus will live in happiness forever.

Why not take this opportunity to invite God into your life, or renew your walk with Jesus and accept his eternal friendship.
